Eggshells is here to support Veterans and Veteran Families in Canada who are impacted by a loved one’s substance use. Our goal is to create a safe space to explore emotions, strengthen family relationships, and promote healing.

With continuous intake and new sessions beginning based on demand, Eggshells offers a comprehensive program that includes 22 clinical care hours of virtual group counselling. Groups are held during the day and evening or on weekends. Each daytime or evening group meets for approximately three hours per week for eight weeks. Weekend intensive groups meet for six hours per day over four days (two weekends).
Following the group sessions, participants have access to 16 hours of counsellor-facilitated virtual peer support to continue to address the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual impacts of a loved one’s substance use. Individual and family counselling may be available for those waiting for the next group to begin or for those who need to prepare for a group experience. There is no cost to participate in Eggshells for qualified Veterans and Veteran family members in Canada.
The Eggshells Clinical Team utilizes foundational clinical and therapeutic theories and practices, including (but not limited to): Trauma-Informed Practice, Community Reinforcement and Family Training, Somatic Experiencing Therapy, Systems Theory, Transitional Family Therapy, Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, and 12-Step Philosophies. Various evidence-based modalities are used to guide the therapy process, including (but not limited to): Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Relational Psychoeducation.

We’re here to support you, let’s work together to create a path to explore emotions, strengthen family relationships,
and promote healing.
